The Japanese have invented water … elastic

Japanese scientists have invented what they call “elestic water “. Said the department of  Bernama Malaysian National News Agency.
Developed at the University of Tokyo, consists of new material in 95% of water, with a little glue and organic substance added. Ingredient result is similar to jelly or gelatin, but is extremely flexible and transparent.

The invention was first presented in public last week in the latest issue of the scientific journal Nature. According to the article, the new material is environmentally friendly, clean and safe for humans and animals. He could be a long-term tool in medical technologies, serving as possible, especially in wound healing or tissue surgically notched.

Bernama adds that, by increasing its density, “stretched water” might be used in the production of “ecological plastics” or could even replace the plastic permanently. In this research direction will continue until September 2010. And if water will be elastic potential, it is possible that Japanese scientists to make the planet a cleaner place.
